A Day In The Life Ofkelly Ramsay Account Manager

With a background of over 14 years in marketing (yes I really am that old!), apt is my first experience of agency life and I have to say I’m having a ball!  I’ve always been the client, using the agency to help and support the aims and objectives of the company I was working for at the time. I’ve been extremely fortunate in that most of the time that agency has been apt and as a result I have a great working relationship with them all, which made the leap to the other side much easier.

With two small children, a 3 year old daughter and a son who is 17 months, life is never dull; I usually get woken by my daughter very kindly telling me ‘it’s time to get up mummy’ at 6.30am…that time didn’t used to exist for me! The usual family scene commences with the struggle to get everyone washed, dressed and out the house for a decent hour – or is that just me?!

There is no such thing as a typical day at apt and that is one of the reasons why I love it. I have already learnt so much about the industries of the clients we work for including street food, property, recycling and restaurants. One of the things that I have always rated apt for was the way they work with the client to understand the business, where the issues are and then working in partnership to find solutions to overcome them. We do totally immerse ourselves in the client’s world; we have to in order to understand the issues and as a result we have a significant amount of knowledge. I can be working on a full strategy document one moment to writing email newsletters and press releases the next.

The team here at apt are a fantastic bunch, always looking for new and innovative ways to help our clients move forward. Their passion, enthusiasm and energy for what they do is immense and a real privilege to work alongside.
