Considering The Top 5 Best Replies On Social Media

Here at apt we’re a big fan of interacting on social media site Twitter, and love seeing how other businesses communicate with their customers and other businesses.

After seeing Argos’ brilliant response to Immy ‘BADMAN’ Bugti this week, we have put together our top 5 favourite business replies so far:

5. Oreo and AMC theatres disagree on cinema no-food rules

Cinema chain AMC Theatres tweeted Oreo back after they asked followers if they have ever snuck Oreo cookies into a movie theatre.

 2. Argos

After Immy ‘BADMAN’ Bugti tweeted Argos in street dialect asking when the next Playstation4 will be out, Argos showed their playful side with their response in the same dialect.

1.  Our favourite response is this Twitter thread involving Tesco Mobile, Yorkshire Tea, Jaffa Cakes, Cadbury’s and Phileas Fogg which escalated into a debate as to whether Jaffa Cakes are a biscuit or a cake:

Twitter is a great way for businesses to communicate with other businesses and current/prospective customers; it offers many benefits if used effectively including building relationships, brand awareness, promoting new products, boosting sales and gaining feedback. Twitter can be used to show your brand personality and humour and we love being able to show our quirky side and connect with our followers!
