How To Make Your Social Media Account Is Ace

Social media has become quite the phenomenon in the world of marketing. Once upon a time we’d have to post our promotions through the letterbox; now we can get our point across in just 140 characters on Twitter. It’s obvious, the world has gone mad for Social Media and this is supported with stats such as these: Did you know, collectively people in the UK spend 62 million hours on Social Media networks a day, 34 million of those being on Facebook and the other 28 on Twitter. You probably didn’t, but it still emphasises the need for businesses to have social media as part of their digital strategy.

So, whether you’re a business looking to use social media or already have an established account we thought we’d share our expertise with three ways you can make your social media account ACE:

A is for Awareness

First off, you need to shout out at the top of your social media voice! Why? Awareness is one of the key benefits of social media and has a limitless scope for consumer and client acknowledgement of the brands they are interacting with. The concept itself involves posting content on a regular basis and constantly being in line with existing and prospective consumer/client vision; engaging with them and reminding them of you and your brand. Do this and you’ll soon see your followers grow.

C is for Content

So what sort of content should I be posting to be increasing my followers? Well, good content is an influential marketing asset. A blend of high-quality blog posts, videos and images are an invaluable recipe for helping businesses connect with prospective consumers or clients to build brand authority within their respective industry. The key principle to apply here is to keep your content fresh and full of flavour. Posts should be creative, interactive and engaging to your community, as well as sending out a clear and direct message. Look at it this way; you always need to replenish the food in the fridge otherwise eventually it’ll be empty or go stale.

E is for Engagement

Once you’ve started posting valuable content it’s all about sparking a conversation or a response. Engagement is probably the most effective practice of social media activity. This is down to social media itself and how it’s allowed people and businesses to become a lot closer to brands they associate themselves with, making things a lot more personal. The social world now expects to be acknowledged and made to feel a part of the brands they are associated with, so it’s important to meet these expectations.

Be pro-active, ask questions of your existing consumers and engage with prospective consumers or clients; search popular hashtags related to your industry and focus on the individual. Such activity will drive higher engagement which often leads to building stronger and more personal relationships within your community. A stronger rapport with your consumer/clients will build a business’s brand image and reputation, making it easier to drive the sale.

Follow these steps and you’ll soon find you have one ACE social media account!
