Oh No Theres More Than One

Authored by Victoria Petkovic-Short

Are you one of those people with a dad who churns out terrible dad jokes all year round? Who simply delights in a Christmas Cracker and guffaws at the awful, cringe-worthy jokes lurking within? Me too! In fact, my dad has his repertoire on a repeating loop and I cannot tell you how often I've heard the one 'What do you call a frenchman lying in the sea? Pierre!" throughout my lifetime!

The office also suffer when he pops in (it's a family-run business round here) as he reels off 'What comes after S', 'T', 'ooh I'd love a cup!' Poor old Abbie is usually the one that falls for it every time!

I wouldn't change him for the world though and I regularly find myself stifling a smile at a familiar old joke told just the way he does; but it's also good to know I'm not alone! That's why, when I stumbled across the Pizza Hut Christmas Campaign, I just had to have a peak...

Pizza Hut has launched 'The Happy Wall' fronted by original Big Daddy of Puns Paddy McGuinness; the wall, which features some truly terrible jokes (with an apt warning at the top), also includes his videos and those of others who've got involved! I can't quite bring myself to point my dad towards it (they encourage you to add your own jokes too), but I did have a chuckle at one or two! What's more, there seem to be a plethora of pizza and pasta themed ones, all in the name of the chance to win £2 off a meal.

A couple of my favourites:

"What do you call a rich elf? Welfy"

and of course this one from Paddy on video...

I think maybe I'll use it as inspiration to give my dad a run for his money this year!
