It’s that time of the year again when holiday pictures appear on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages; filling us all with envy as we cope with the unpredictable British weather.
Three has taken responsibility for all of these photos in an apology advert launched earlier this week. As the advert begins it sounds like a genuine apology or PPI advice advert, and then it switches to a humorous apology for holiday pictures including “all the sunsets, the fancy cocktails, for plane wing after plane wing after plane wing... the beach feet, the hashtag no filters and the hot dog legs”.
Three has cleverly managed to incorporate the most recent social media trends into their advert that fits in perfectly with their target audience. They have come up with an ingenious sales script that highlights how reliable their services are abroad – and ends with a witty piece of advice; “We deeply regret the frustration this has caused and we urge all Three customers when abroad please brag responsibly. Thank you”.
Three has stood out with their marketing campaigns recently including their #SingItKitty advert; their adverts have been unique to their brand and it’s proving difficult for other mobile providers to beat.
