Three Rival Mcvities With New Marketing Campaign

McVities had been rooted as our favourite advert of 2014 so far – until Three released their new advert!

Continuing their success from Socks, the dancing Shetland Pony Three has released a new campaign featuring a singing girl and kitten as she cycles through her neighbourhood belting out “We Built This City” by Starship.

Three has been very good at finding the perfect songs to include in their adverts – songs everyone knows the lyrics to but don’t always remember until it is played; this classic eighties hit has us all singing along every time. The advert promotes Three’s “We all need silly stuff” campaign using “#SingItKitty” to allow others to share pictures of “cute, silly or unexpected images and videos”.

Tom Malleschitz, Marketing Director at Three, commented: “Last year we were blown away with the runaway success of our moonwalking pony, Socks. As the network built for the internet we understand people’s behaviour online and know that cute, silly, or unexpected images and videos are what make people tick. We are very excited to launch this advert and hope it will simply bring a smile to your face when you watch it.”

It certainly brings a smile to our faces watching the kitten with what looks a moustache singing along to the catchy theme music and we’re looking forward to where Three will take it next!
