Discovery Graduates Brand

Background: 

Discovery Graduates specialises in recruiting top-tier graduate talent for businesses who are looking for a clear return of their investment in recruitment and are thinking about their succession planning. Formerly known as Discovery Recruitment and then Discovery Recruitment and Training, it was apt that developed the original brand identity. 

Objectives: 

When approaching their ten year anniversary, apt worked with Discovery to review their position in the marketplace; a very different and more competitive environment than ever. A brand review established that the Discovery Recruitment did not clearly enough convey the niche expertise in the graduate market and the objective was to retain the ten year heritage and wide recognition, while effectively communicating the brand proposition.

Actions: 

After the initial brand review apt spent some time with the Directors and a number of the core delivery team to clear establish and define the current USPs of the business..  Discovery Graduates was proposed as and immediately agreed by the client, at which point apt’s Creative Director quite literally went back to the drawing board! 

Results: 

Discovery Graduates’ new brand identity is an evolution of the original design, while still being clearly recognisable.  The trademark orange and blue were retained, but the colours were tweaked; making them bolder, with even more ‘grown up’ gravitas than before. The strapline was replaced with the four core service offerings: Attraction. Recruitment. Development. Retention. leaving potential clients in no doubt about the breadth of the brand offering.  This configuration also provided a natural blueprint for the case study material which apt produced and the website structure.
