Since popping its first cork back in 1977 the Montpellier Wine Bar in Cheltenham has become a prominent part of the local social scene.
To build on the Wine Bar’s strong affiliation with sport and events such as The Cheltenham Cricket Festival and Rugby World Cup Breakfasts, with a horseracing event ahead of Paddy Power week at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Using apt’s connections with the racing world, we organised and managed an unique Racing Evening held at Montpellier Wine Bar, featuring legendary racing trainer Kim Bailey, Grand National winning jockey, Jason Maguire and The Times newspapers racing correspondent, Alan Lee as host. apt created a buzz in the lead up to the event and contacted a number of local companies who generously donated prizes for the auction to raise money for Cedars Amethyst Trust.
The event caught the attention of racing and sports journalists in the region as well as within key UK and Irish racing press, creating publicity in print and online. Cotswold Style also commissioned a photographer to include the evening’s guests and famous faces in the magazine’s social pages and for the Montpellier Wine Bar to utilise for future racing events.
