Disaster strikes, Foot & Mouth
Angie approaches the UK Government and secures £3.7million in grant funding to distribute to affected Gloucestershire businesses.
– 2002 –
We become limited.
Angie becomes the #girlboss of a limited company and hires our first employee – Lucy Beresford!
– 2003 –
Angie discovers a very important ‘lost’ garden, originally designed by Samuel Curtis. She kick-starts the restoration project including TV, fundraising and press coverage.
– 2004 –
Angie is passionate about investing in the next generation, delivering her first lecture at University of Gloucestershire, talking PR, Marketing and Emotional Intelligence.
– 2005 –
apt academy is born.
We’ve directly supported over 800 young people, including 25 who have stayed for more than a year. We work with everyone from ages 14-24.
– 2006 –
The million pound boom.
With our help, Cotswold Inns & Hotels became the first hotel group to use dynamic pricing, and the new techniques secured more than £1million in additional revenue in 12 months!
– 2007 –
World first for YouTube.
Our flash-mob style video for the American Museum in Britain went viral (with 10,000 views in those days) and was the first YouTube video ever produced by a museum.
– 2008 –
Keeping it in the family.
Victoria (Angie’s daughter) joins the business. It was apparently temporary, but 13 years on, it’s become a true family affair!
– 2009 –
Going underground, going underground.
Improving accessibility of the platforms in time for 2012 Olympics, we were responsible for the CAD drawings, communications, PR, hoarding and everything in between.
– 2010 –
Championing local business.
We believe in the power of local connections and helped to establish a ‘Business Champions’ programme in Gloucester, to support with the Gloucester regeneration.
– 2011 –
Working with Tampax.
We helped create Tampax's most successful on-pack promotion with 8,000 redemptions. We recruited therapists to offer free mini manicures.
– 2012 –
Supporting a client with lobbying, we a 10,000 word submission of evidence, before representing them in Westminster to lobby the influencing investigators and MPs. Angie also becomes a columnist for Hotel Owner Magazine!
– 2013 –
Live on SkyNews.
Victoria represented a client live on Sky News after we secured so much live broadcast coverage that the client ran out of available spokespeople. We also lobbied Welsh Government the same year!
– 2014 –
Our now Director Kelly joins us after more than 12 years as our client. 6 years and counting with the agency, she brings expertise for DMOs, tourism businesses and membership organisations.
– 2015 –
Jess starts as a marketing assistant, and is now our Account Executive. She came fresh from a creative and digital media apprenticeship with the Giggle Group and she’s gone on to be an instrumental part of the team.
– 2016 –
Dawn is our creative guru and also helps our digital solutions to outperform the market norms. 2016 is also the year we built our first app, winning £15,000 grant funding for our client Compass Holidays.
– 2017 –
We were ecstatic to support the Tour of Britain, developing the wider ‘Cheltenham Festival of Cycling’ brand, raising £125,000 in sponsorship, and even helping to create a lime green bike trail!
– 2018 –
Cooking up a storm!
Continuing to build our #BusinessWithPurpose, Angie becomes a monthly volunteer for the Butterfly Garden. Angie cooks once a month and serves on average 65 people. Apt funds all the food which has so far added up to over £5,000 and counting…
– 2019 –
A fresh new look.
To reflect our growth as an agency, it was time for our very own facelift, changing how and when we use our famous ‘worm’. The ‘worm’ was originally formed of an ‘a’, ‘p’ and a ‘t’.
– 2020 –
20 years and counting!
We’re celebrating 20 years of doing what we do. We’re set for a great year supporting a broad range of clients that we love! Here’s to the next 20 years.
