A Day In The Life Of Denise Intern

A typical day starts off with me rolling out of my bed (literally). Despite having three alarms set, you’d think I would have had enough time to prepare myself. Although, once I’m out my bed, I am immediately prepared to take on any new challenges ahead.

My journey to work is fairly straightforward as I only need one bus to get to work on time. What I love about the journey is that I am always guaranteed a pleasant one as firstly the bus stops directly opposite the office and secondly there’s hardly any traffic!  Being a city girl, it is a huge relief to not face any manic rush hour mornings. Taking the bus every day, I’ve formed bus buddies so sometimes when I don’t see them I panic thinking they’ve left without me.

Since I get to work early, I have time to sort out tasks I need to complete as well as finishing off any tasks from the day before. After, I update Kelly, our Account Manager with a quick summary of the work completed and my current status. It is essential that I feedback to Kelly to talk through any amends I need to make as well as moving onto the next work list. Some of my tasks will consist of creating databases, conducting research for clients and handling social media pages.

Working in a marketing agency, I find it is very important to interact with each other because most of the tasks require strong team work. Also I think working in a team is great because you get to listen to new ideas and understand views that may differ from yours.

What I love the most about working at apt is the friendly, fun and light atmosphere. There’s never a day where I wouldn’t be laughing or chuckling because of something Abbie might have said or Debi’s sudden singing. Nonetheless, I love how I am constantly learning and having opportunities to develop.  To sum up apt altogether, everyone here displays strong work ethics and willingly goes out of their way to ensure that clients are given the best and nothing else.
