Floating Solar Powered Hotel Rooms...yes please!

We love an interesting hotel concept here at apt and this one really took us by surprise...

Here at apt we'll admit that we are lovers of all things tourism and hotels, (after all Angie ran one for 16 years) and we love it when a new interesting accommodation option pops up!

Introducing the solar-powered floating pod hotel room...

This hotel suite designed by Naval architect Jean-Michel Ducancelle really did get us chatting in the office this week.

The beautifully named Anthenea pod was conceived as a luxury suite for hotels to offer to their guests but can be adapted for use as a spa, restaurant... well anything really!

The solar-powered, eco-friendly pod boasts a whopping 50spm (540sp ft) of space including a place to relax in the day and a spot to wind down at night. There's also a circular bed (cheeky) and a luxurious bathtub.

The pod is also equipped with electric motors and its solar panels mean it can remain at sea indefinitely just in case you were thinking of getting away for a while...

Fancy introducing one of these to your range of accommodation options? They'll set you back around £434,000 but we'll be on hand to ensure you gain maximum return on investment with our tourism marketing expertise.
