Believe In Yoursmelf Before The End Of The World

Old Spice, (one of our top ten worldwide brands), has recently launched the latest addition to their ‘Believe in Your Smelf’ campaign; Like many other companies, Old Spice has used ‘the end of the world’ to their advantage and created a video game entitled ‘Dikembr Mutombo’s 4 ½ weeks to Save the World’. For those of you who don’t know Dikembr Mutombo, he is a retired NBA player, well known in the American sporting world. Originally the game starts as a YouTube video, which then becomes interactive; you land on a page that looks like an old fashioned gaming graphic where you can select a level. The game is progressive and each level has been launched separately, encouraging you to return and see how Dikembr is progressing with his world saving skills...

Once you have selected a level, you are given a mission that you must complete in order to save the world. Whether that is stopping people from doing a well known Korean dance (ahem G****** S****) or stopping a well known Hollywood producer creating another ‘Vampire Romance’,  each week the mission theme is related to real life.

Along with the game comes a countdown, this will take you to what looks like a live video stream of the Mayan Calendar and a machine engraving additional information onto it. This is of course an extremely clever spoof that is implying Old Spice is trying to create more time on earth. We are trusting you Old Spice to complete this mission.
