Brands Embark On A Virtual Journey

After years of pressing a few buttons and being able to snap up that desired item, all without moving from the sofa, we would be lost without online shopping. Many a time has it saved us from the embarrassment of forgetting someone’s Birthday/Anniversary or that last minute rush before Christmas. It is definitely up there with being a world changing initiative (voted by the girls at apt)! Amongst all its pros it does have one con; there is always that dress that looks great on the website, but as soon as you try it on it looks like a bin bag...

More and more people are buying clothing online; but the convenience comes with the risk of buying something that doesn’t quite fit. However, Fits.me has created a tool which shoppers can use that will give an accurate reflection of what a particular item will look like on them. All consumers have to do is enter their measurements including height, weight, bust, hip and waist size. The clever technology uses robotic mannequins to model garments and photographs to show how clothes will fit all size and shape combinations. We will be able to see these virtual fitting rooms land on fashion brands websites such as Adidas, Hugo Boss and Superdry. Now the only downside to online shopping is the affect it will have on our bank account!
