The fur-flew in a painfully fun street-promo for Toronto’s Fuzz Wax Bar, literally! A reasonably good-looking man was seen by Canadian public, parading around town covered almost entirely from head to toe in wax strips; encouraging people to tear them from his skin, ouch! The stunt, organised by Canadian marketing and advertising agency Lowe Roche, raised a few hairs and it’s safe to say the Fuzz Wax Bar pulled it off! Each strip pulled from the poor volunteer’s body could be redeemed for a 25% discount off the person’s next wax. The strips were categorised across the man’s body using smiley (or not-so-smiley) faces indicating the intensity of pain he would feel once the strip was pulled off in each area. The strips were also adorned with copy such as ‘from bear arms to bare arms’ and ‘we’ll take the monkey off your back’, along with the salon’s slogan ‘So good, it hurts’. The public-waxers held up their strips to the cameras in triumph, showing just how effective the waxing service really is!
