The wait is finally over; earlier this week the finalists of the Gloucestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2015 were announced and we are over the moon to discover that our very own apprentice, Kristina Rickards, has been shortlisted!
Now in their fourth year, the awards cover both private and public sectors and aim to acknowledge achievements by apprentices and organisations in Gloucestershire.
Judge Matt Holmes, editor of the Echo says: “The task of short-listing entrants gets more difficult each year.
Once again we have had excellent nominees, which shows how highly valued winning one of these awards is.
The field of contenders reinforces our view that apprentices play a vital role in businesses locally – a view obviously shared by local employers.
The skills developed by apprentices working with the people who employ them are essential to Gloucestershire’s economy in the 21st century.
Our awards showcase the best of the best of them.”

Finalist Kristina says: "I am so excited to be a finalist in the Apprenticeship Awards; this really means a lot to me as it shows that all of my hard work is paying off. However, I wouldn't have gotten to where I am today without all of the great support from everyone at apt - so thank you!"
The awards will take place on Thursday 2nd July at The Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse. We hope to see you there!
