The Gloucestershire Echo and Citizen Women in Business Awards were hosted last night at a glittering showcase style ceremony. The six year old event has leapt from its previous hosting venue, the Hatherley Manor Hotel to the hall of the Centaur located at Cheltenham’s racecourse.
The nine categories at the event, sponsored by Grundon Waste Management celebrated the leading women in business in the county of Gloucestershire. The star of TV programme Embarrassing Bodies Dr Dawn Harper, was a guest speaker at the event, as was BBC Radio Gloucestershire Presenter Claire Carter. The categories for the awards included Female Apprentice of the Year, Young Entrepreneur of the Year, Mentor of the Year, Contribution to Community, Communicator of the Year, Family Business of the Year, New Business of the Year and Women of the Year.
