Last week our Managing Director, Angie, presented at a national trade event for the hotel industry. This was the UK’s first ever dedicated event for independent, luxury and boutique hoteliers, and Angie’s reputation in this industry resulted in a sell-out slot with extras standing outside.
Independent Hotel 12 took place at Olympia in London and featured some of the UK’s top CEOs, hotel gurus and managing directors. Hoteliers and guests received access to first hand expertise from a breadth of handpicked companies showcasing their latest useful products and ideas as well as having the opportunity to network and attend business sessions with industry experts.
As an ex-hotelier, a founding member of Logis of Great Britain* and a regular contributor to the Hotel Owner magazine, Angie discussed the all important topic of ‘How to beat the downtimes and build customer loyalty’. Angie, alongside the other panel members, delivered an interesting and inspiring speech, tapping into a wealth of unnoticed opportunities for the audience.
Angie said “The event exceeded expectations in how well it was organised. It presented a different way to do a Hotel Show with approachable yet unusual stands, (you could see an entire room layout and buy it!) and it didn’t just revolve around cooking equipment, which a lot of Hotel shows seem to focus on. The only short fall was that the speeches were back to back, and because they were so popular there wasn’t enough time for all the questions. It was a fantastic event which I would love to see grow. In difficult times it is a necessity to have shows as inspiring as this one to keep this industry and hoteliers up to speed. I can’t wait to visit again next year.”
