Southern Comfort Gets Weather Wise

Every time we see that slightly overweight man strolling down the beach with a drink in his hand we get jealous; particularly with the recent blast of arctic weather. This advert perfectly serves its purpose, making the consumer envy his position, in the sun and drinking that drink. Have you guessed the advert we are talking about yet? Of course it is Southern Comfort’s TV advert in their ‘Whatever’s Comfortable’ campaign.

Southern Comfort has continued this infamous campaign by introducing a website that shows the man-in-Speedos-and-loafers experiencing the weather in a chosen region; and with Britain’s recent blustery blip you can imagine the scene, not so smug now is he?

There is apparently a selection of 80 videos covering the diverse weather conditions worldwide. In the cold snow, you will see the “comfortable weather guy” pouring a hot drink to keep warm. Whereas in a hotter climate, the guy cools himself down by “seductively” rubbing an ice cube against his body. However, what is really amusing is despite wearing Speedos, the comfortable guy never seems phased by the weather!

The website is fully integrated with social media sites, so that each forecast can be shared online. Customers can even receive daily updates with the weather news...as long as you subscribe of course!
