The Perfect Getaway Car To See You Through The Apocalypse

In the event of an apocalypse you will need a getaway vehicle that will be able to handle all types of terrain. Following the memorable Chevy ad during the Super Bowl in 2012, many auto brands have boasted that their cars would survive in a post-apocalyptic world. Land Rover has created a concept with all doomsday predictors in mind. The DC100 has been built to withstand anything, perfect for the uncertain future.  Equipped with a snorkel, it enables you to delve into deep waters (hopefully) without any problems, and the new technology called ‘Wade Aid’ with sonar sensor on the bumper and side mirrors will measure the water depth prior to entry. Of course in strange terrain you may not want to venture out from behind the comfort of this snazzy car, so Land Rover has thought of that too, adding a three-dimensional map of the surrounding areas so you can see those Zombies creeping behind a rock.

Turning to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, this car has been ‘zombie apocalypse approved’ just in case the dead rise. Already an excellent off roader, it is also small enough to squeeze through those tight spaces between fallen buildings etc. You will also be pleased to know that compared to other trucks the Wrangler is a lot more economical in its fuel consumption; after all, the last thing you need is for your car to breakdown post apocalypse.

Instead of building a completely new car for an apocalypse, Hyundai have opted for modifying their Elantra coupe into a ‘Zombie Survival Machine’, to be unveiled at Comic-Con, the International event in San Diego. To deter any unwanted visitors, Hyundai have added features such as a zombie plow and spikes, along with covering the car in armour for protection against anything that could be thrown at it, literally.

Arguably, the best choice of car for the upcoming apocalypse, these three offer everything you need to get through. Unfortunately though, for all you sports car fans, we are afraid to say these cars will not make it through an apocalypse. It is time to part with them, and exchange for one of these practical trucks!
