Which Shape Represents You

Our client, Expectations! Recruitment Services, hosted a Breakfast Briefing this week, this time at Cheltenham’s regal Pump Rooms.

The quarterly event played host to psychology guru, Alan Kitto, Company Director at PulseHR Business Partners. Alan works with companies to maximise their biggest asset, their team. He provides specialist and generalist advice on all aspects of human resources management to SMEs in diverse market sectors throughout South East Wales, Gloucestershire and further afield. Alan’s preferred approach is to work in partnership with SMEs ensuring that the support he offers reflects the ‘bigger picture’ of the company.

The seminar addressed the specifics for creating a good team dynamic, including staff relationships, performance measurements and how to set good, achievable objectives.

Alan stressed, “Being told that they need to be a ‘winner’ doesn’t motivate your team; you need to know what transforms and inspires a group of people, in order to become the winning team”. He further stated, “It’s no good having a team of star performers if they cannot work together effectively as a team”.

Amongst the invaluable advice on how to create an effective work team, Alan introduced attendees to ‘Psycho-geometrics’, the analytical approach to identifying your personal communication style based on the selection of one of five geometric shapes. The interactive nature of the seminar meant guests found the seminar both engaging and insightful.
