Yo Sushi Launch

Last night, we had the pleasure of attending the VIP launch of the newest addition to the Yo! Sushi franchise, based at the Promenade, Cheltenham. We are honoured to have joined in with the celebrations and it was a great opportunity for the team to mark this event as one of our 13th birthday activities.

For those not familiar, Yo! Sushi, opening to the public tomorrow, is a Japanese restaurant offering ‘tasty and healthy sushi’ as well as a wide variety of meat, vegetarian, rice and noodle dishes; including one of our favourites, the Chicken Katsu Curry. All of this is of course topped off with plenty of desserts, if you’re not too full after a menu boasting over 80 different dishes!!! We were only too keen to hear that they are also offering a takeaway service, ideal for those team lunches, as well as sushi making classes.

(A delicious and colourful bowl of Spicy Seafood Udon; Kimchee dashi (spicy Asian broth) with prawn, salmon, squid, Asian vegetables and udon noodles...YUM!!)

Warmly greeted with a glass of Prosecco each, we were amazed to see the conveyor belt rotating around the restaurant full of scrumptious looking food. We gladly accepted 5 complimentary plates each and excitedly took on the challenge; conquering 33 plates in total (out of 35)!

(Chris Robins after slurping a packed spoon full of chillies...ouch!)

With the enthusiasm of all the staff, managers and chefs, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would like to wholly thank the Yo! Sushi team for inviting us (and for Manager Dan's undoubtedly impeccable customer service!). Wishing them all the best in the future; no doubt we’ll all be popping in again!
