Just when we thought augmented reality had lost it's shine (see our post on Budweiser this morning), we've bounced right back with this little gem...
Augmented reality company Zapper has released its contribution to the US election with its 'Zaphats' app. Pop on a specially designed hat, point the camera and magically watch as you're transformed into a beautiful charicature of either Obama or Mitt.
Simple yet effective, this augmented reality has "quirk appeal" and is easy to get hands on. It also has a simple relevance to many people's lives and is a little less serious than the normal pin badges.
We're hoping this will result in a similar trend to the UK 'planking' where we'll see user-generated pictures of the potential Presidents appearing in some weird and wonderful places!
Hats can be purchased from VisualiTee.com and the app is available free on the Apple and Android stores.
